John Blair Lodge Library

Welcome to John Blair Lodge's Masonic Lending Library.

For non-Masons: The brethren of John Blair Lodge No. 187 are not currently lending books outside the Masonic Fraternity. If you are interested in learning more about Masonry, most of the books listed on this page are available for purchase through www.amazon.com, or your local book store. Nevertheless, please take a moment to read our "New to Masonry?" webpage, and feel free to contact us for more information.

For members: The intent of our Masonic Lending Library is to make various Masonic (and Masonic related) titles available to our members without having to manage a cumbersome library. John Blair Lodge's Lending Library enables members to satisfy their craving for knowledge without having to purchase countless books! The Lending Library also provides brethren an opportunity to "flip through" specific books before deciding to purchase a copy for themselves. The books listed on this page are from of our member's personal libraries. The owners of listed books have agreed to lend specified volumes to their brethren on a case-by-case basis. Brethren who are not members of John Blair Lodge, but frequent our stated communications are welcome to participate in our Lending Library.

How it works: Brethren should browse the titles listed below. Books of interest can be researched online to gain more information. Detailed book descriptions and reviews can usually be found on www.amazon.com. If interested in borrowing a specific book, the owner should be approached at a Lodge function, and be asked to lend the book. The lending terms will be specified by the book's owner at the time of lending. Please note that having a book listed in our Lending Library does not obligate the owner to lend a specific title. Furthermore, the owner expects to receive his book back in a timely manner, and in the same condition it was lent.

Questions about John Blair Lodge's Masonic Lending Library should be directed to the Worshipful Master, or one of the Lodge Wardens.
